Yes, we did a lot of work on guar gum from numerous samples, and the value we obtained was 38% +/- 1% galactose (62 % mannose).
The kit booklet also provides D-galactose : D-mannose ratios of some commercially available galactomannans
The Galactomannan Assay Kit (K-GALM) gives the galactose:mannose ratio for carob is there any similar data published for guar gum?
