This kit will measure both D-glucuronic acid or D-galacturonic acid if present in the sample and cannot differentiate between the two.
Results can only be expressed in the context of D-Glucuronic or D-Galacturonic Acid content of the original sample and cannot be used to determine the amount of pectin in a sample.
