A number of academics have proposed models that allow for the prediction of GI from in-vitro measurement of rapidly digested starch or available carbohydrates. Some of these models incorporate the measurement of protein and fat which has also been shown to influence GI. At this point, Megazyme does not support any in-vitro method for GI prediction although this is an area that we may explore in the future.
