In the Available Carbohydrates Assay Kit (K-AVCHO), is there a benefit of using a 0.5 g sample size (method 1) over the 1.0 g sample size (method 2)?

Method 1, using 0.5 g sample size, is the recommended method and this will provide the stated number of tests from the kit (100 assays of each).

Method 2, using 1.0 g sample size, was designed so that the same sample digestion can also be used in the Rapid Integrated Total Dietary Fiber Assay Kit (K-RINTDF). However, the number of tests provided by the kit when using method 2 will be halved.
