Knowledge Base Home FAQs || FAQs Soluble Chromogenic Substrates Azo-Xylan (Birchwood) (S-AXBL / S-AXBP)

I use Azo-Xylan (Birchwood) (S-AXBP or S-AXBL) in my xylanase assays. Is it pure of does it contain any trace amounts of beta-1,4 linked glucan/cellulose?

The xylan contains no beta-glucan.  Many pure endo-cellulases can also hydrolyse xylan.
