Pachyman is not soluble in water even at 80˚C. However, CM-Pachyman (carboxymethylated pachyman) is soluble and is a good substrate for endo-1,3-beta-glucanases.
According to the P-PACHY data sheet, it is not soluble in water at room temperature. To what extent is it soluble at higher temperatures, for example at 80˚C?
