Has K-TSTA been compared to Polarimetry for measurement of starch?

Modified on Tue, 31 Aug, 2021 at 2:44 PM

Polarimetry is a method that is generally used with just fairly pure starch samples. It is a method that was superseded about many years ago in most industries.

The enzymatic procedure (K-TSTA) will give an accurate measure of starch, polarimetry gives an approximation and is influenced by other materials in the sample. It is a method not unlike refractive index measurements, a visible light method.
