To prepare the GOPOD reagent two components are required.

  1. GOPOD Reagent Buffer
  2. GOPOD Reagent Enzymes


The reagent buffer is prepared by diluting to 1 L. Once diluted, this component needs to be used immediately to prepare the reagent enzymes.


The reagent Enzymes are dissolved with ~ 20 mL of the prepared buffer, mixed thoroughly and transferred back into the reagent buffer. 

This is now the Glucose Determination Reagent (GOPOD Reagent) and can be stored for ~ 3 months at 2-5°C or > 12 months below - 10°C.
