Is there any alternative equipment to use in place of a laboratory mill for sample preparation in the K-YBGL method?

We recommend that samples are milled to pass a specific screen size (1.0 mm) before analysis.

We have not tried milling samples using other equipment but believe that the effectiveness of the equipment will depend on the nature of the samples. If the equipment can produce a homogeneous powder then this should introduce no problems.

We recommend internal validations where customers deviate from the stated protocol. As we have not performed this method using any other equipment in place of a laboratory mill therefore we cannot comment on its efficacy &/or resultant accuracy.
