Red Pullulan (S-RPUL)

What kind of dye is used to produce Red Pullulan (S-RPUL); is it the same dye that is used in the arabinan substrate?
The dye used for Red Pullulan is Procian Red MX 2B. Yes, this is the same dye as used for Red Arabinan. Product Page (S-RPUL)

Why is 0.5 M KCI added to the substrate, Red Pullulan (S-RPUL)?
We add 0.5M KCI to the substrate as we found this to be necessary to get good precipitation and low blank absorbance values. If the blanks are high, this w...

Can Red Pullulan (S-RPUL) be autoclaved with agar solution?
You could include Red Pullulan in the agar solution at 0.1 grams per 100 mL. This can be autoclaved and will be stable if the pH is near neutral i.e. pH 5...
