The Control Yeast β-glucan of K-YBGL can be used as a control for mushroom samples in the context of measurement of beta-glucan in this assay (K-YBGL).
While the 3D structure between yeast and mushroom beta-glucan is slightly different, the linkages are the same (beta-1,6 and beta-1,3) and therefore the performance of measurement of both sources of beta-glucan in the assay will be the same.
