Should a sample dissolve completely after the addition of sulphuric acid in the Yeast & Mushroom β-Glucan Assay Kit (K-YBGL)?

It is not unusual to see some insoluble particles in samples after the addition of sulphuric acid but beta glucan will be dissolved and measured.

We suggest to make sure most of the particles which stick to the side of the test tube ase washed into the solution while stirred on the vortex mixer.

If the protocol is followed exactly this should have no influence on the result of the analysis.
