The beta glucan assay kits supplied by Megazyme are not suitable for testing wine.
We have studied this matrix in the past and found that the levels of beta-Glucan are so low that it is difficult to achieve the reproducibility required and therefore cannot recommend these methods for the analysis of wine samples.
