Does K-TSTA comply with Commission Regulation (EC) No 900/2008?

Modified on Thu, 12 Aug, 2021 at 12:48 PM

No, K-TSTA does not conform with this EC method.

Both methods use alpha-amylase and amyloglucosidase to break the starch down to glucose (the conditions are slightly different).
K-TSTA uses colorimetric determination of glucose after enzymatic hydrolysis, whereas method No 900/2008 asks for HPLC determination.
