Can ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate be used in place of ammonium molybdate in K-PHYT?

Modified on Fri, 4 Sep at 1:11 PM

Ammonium molybdate or ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate can be used in the K-PHYT assay, and both should work equally well.

If ammonium molybdate is not available for the preparation of Solution B (5% w/v ammonium molybdate), ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate could be used instead. To prepare a 5% solution, weigh 1.25 g of ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate and dissolve it in 25 mL of distilled water.
