Are Azo-Barley Glucan (S-ABG100) & Azo-Xylan the best substrates to analyse Trichoderma reseei xylanase and beta-glucanase in animal feed?

Modified on: Thu, 23 Sep, 2021 at 4:12 PM

The best substrate for beta-glucanase in animal feed is Azo-Barley Glucan; however, beta-Glucazyme tablets also work well.  Xylanase is best measured with Azo-wheat arabinoxylan (supplied as a kit, powder or as a ready to use liquid).  Xylazyme AX tablets are used widely.  They are 5-fold more sensitive than Azo-wheat arabinoxylan but are more affected by salts in the feed.
