The K-YBGL method has recently been updated, but I am using an older version of the kit. Are the new documents applicable to my kit, and what should I do if they are not?

K-YBGL Kit Update Notice

The K-YBGL kit has recently been updated. The latest product instructions (assay protocol version 09/25 or newer) and Megacalc (version 09/25 or newer), currently available on the K-YBGL product page, correspond to the updated kit lots; which are numbered 250905 or higher. In this lot number, 2509 indicates the production date: September 2025.

If you are using an older kit lot (e.g. 250534 or earlier), please ensure you use the previous versions of the protocol and Megacalc:

Protocol version: K-YBGL 2308

Megacalc version: K-YBGL 01/23

These versions are attached to this FAQ and should be used only with K-YBGL kit lots 250534 or older. The names and amount of vials in the older lot kits will not match the information currently available in the newly updated assay procedure available online on the product page, and therefore you will need to refer to the attached version.

In Summary:

If your kit contains Bottle 1: exo-1,3-β-Glucanase plus β-Glucosidase ammonium sulphate suspension, 2.0 mL, please use the correct assay procedure attached in this FAQ.

If your kit contains Bottle 1: EnzyAlpha™ (contains sodium azide 0.02% w/v as a preservative),

the correct information is the version currently available on the product page.
